Chief wedding organiser and stylist Becks pulled out all the stops on the Dutton wedding at Hatfield House in Sussex. Bespoke ceiling decorations and a vintage rum shack were among the highlights.
A private wedding for 120 guests in a marquee in the grounds of the glorious Jacobean house - ace. The theme was French country chic, with flowers aplenty.
As every good wedding organiser knows, a face to face meeting is the best way to begin each project. So with this in mind, wedding stylist Becks headed down to Sussex to meet the future Mrs Dutton in person.
The bride’s vision for the wedding was for a clean, simple, French country feel with an abundance of hydrangeas. From this starting point we were able to create mood boards and begin to piece together a plan to deliver the desired look and feel within the allocated budget.
Using old farm crates as stands, we dotted potted hydrangeas around the room and decorated the tables with floral centrepieces consisting of simple glass vases filled with freshly cut white flowers. Next we commissioned an artist to create LOVE wording and the quirky Drink Me sign which was suspended next to the bar.
To help get the wedding party going with a swing, we created a rustic rum shack with vintage barrels, ladders and soda bottles where people could have shots and dance into the night. The DJ area, meanwhile, was given an injection of glam by our wedding stylist team with a collection of mirror balls placed on the floor and around the booth.
