Styling bespoke weddings is amazing fun. Especially at a splendid location like Harewood House.
Our creative stylist and wedding planner extraordinaire Becks went to work in her usual passionate way on the Barrett wedding, planning, executing and styling a day to remember for 150 guests at The Pavilion at Harewood House.
Our brief was to transform the Pavilion into the most opulent hotel setting imaginable, complete with a dramatic view of Harewood House itself. A series of meetings with the bride enabled us to develop mood boards based her inspiration. From this we were able to map out how to realise her vision in true wedding planner fashion.
We commissioned custom-made drapes for the ceiling, curtains for the windows and a plush pelmet to make the existing drapes more full and opulent. Due to the vast size of the space, we installed a drape reveal so the room was divided into two for the dinner and then restored to its fullness for the evening’s entertainment.
For the ceiling, we created two giant pomander structures which were suspended and filled with beautiful roses. These were flanked by smaller pomanders and a series of golden swags were suspended from the pomanders with lengths of pretty pea lights.
Ivory carpet was laid throughout the entire marquee, coupled with oversized gold gilt mirrors to add another dimension to the space. The tables and chairs were covered with ivory fabrics with a golden swag, and the table cloths were laid with bespoke white china and a central golden charger plate.
To add a lovely dramatic feel to the dance area, the entire back gable wall was filled with lengths of pealight.
